Founded in late 1994 by its current music director and CEO, Lyena Atonyicq, in 2022 Artomya Education Center (AEC) was officially incorporated in California, United States as a non-profit organization that combines educational activity with a high-level performing arts organization in Orange County, CA. Artomya Education Center endeavors to challenge convention—with its rich tradition of unique and innovative collaborations across multiple genres and disciplines, high-quality dynamic musical performances, active community engagement, and our commitment to social change through arts education. Our ultimate goal is to use music, arts, trauma healing, and cognitive techniques as a vehicle to unite and strengthen our community of children and adults.
Artomya Education Center is one of the cultural jewels of South California and one of the most dynamic organizations in the United States.
We offer trauma healing and brain development classes in art and music for all ages. Daily after-school piano program for youngest children starting ages 3-5, middle group 5-12 and children ages 12+. A Newly Developed Neuroplasticity Art program offers opportunities for children and adults with various spectrums of autism and other unique situations who are also interested in participating in an ensemble.
Artomya is committed to equitable access, diversity, and inclusivity throughout all its activities and operations. Our Innovative Trauma Healing Art fellowship program places a premium on age diversity in its selection process, helps its graduates to heal their traumatic past, learn basic fundamentals of Classical music, World-renowned Art and history, regulate an autonomic nervous system and promote a peaceful living in a social environment.
To contribute to the cultural and cognitively healthy enrichment of Southwest California by producing and presenting a diverse, innovative, and balanced season of community and educational projects, events, and performances that reach the widest possible audience.
